HOW TRACK DAYS WORK

WHAT IS A TRACK DAY?

Throughout most of the year, depending on the weather, race circuits around the UK (and the rest of the world) open their doors to the public. That means, if you have a driving license and access to a car, you can book a spot and finally do away with speed limits and slow moving traffic. Whether you own a 1992 Vauxhall Corsa or a 2019 Porsche GT3 RS, track days allow you to push your car to speeds you'd never experience on the road.

IS IT SAFE?

All forms of motorsport are inherently dangerous, but all leading circuits and track day organisers keep their events and guests as safe as possible by holding mandatory driver and safety briefings prior to any track time, monitoring driving standards throughout the day, providing sighting laps and stationing trained marshals and first-aid responders at various locations across the circuits.

TRACK DAYS WITH IN2RACING

In partnering with some of the UK's leading track day and race event organisers including RMA, Goldtrack and the Porsche Club GB, In2Racing customers have access to all major UK circuits and the most prestigious tracks in Europe. All you need to do is:

  1. DECIDE: BRING YOUR OWN CAR OR HIRE SOMETHING SPECIAL
If you'd like to bring your own car, just let us know as you come to book as we'll need to set aside the appropriate tools and assign the best technicians for the day. If you're looking to hire a car from us, we suggest giving Nick a call to see what's available and learn about the associated costs.

  2. AVAILABILITY, PRICING & BOOKINGS
There can be dozens of track days occurring simultaneously across the UK at any one time. As such, to provide the best help, give us a call and we'll be able to tell you which days are best suited to you and your chosen vehicle. We'll also guide you on what your day might require in terms of technical support. Let us know which car you'll be using and how many passengers you'd like to bring and we'll take it from there.

  3. TURN UP
You'll be provided with an information pack prior to the event, which will include details about your safety briefing. It is essential that all drivers take part in the briefing - failing to attend will likely result in drivers being disqualified from the day's activities. These briefings are usually held early in the morning and just after lunch but some providers may be more flexible. In2Racing will have set up in either a garage or the paddock. Simply meet your In2 techs and they'll get you set up and ready to go.

  4. DRIVE
This is what you came for! You can take the plunge on your own (with a passenger if you wish) or we can arrange for one of our approved ARDs Instructors to coach you - either way, you'll be able to drive as fast and as hard as you like, so long as you stick to the event's simple rules and your car stays in one piece. A quick lunch break shuts most tracks down before being able to head out again for another go. Driving can be arduous on both driver and machine, so the In2 team will be sure to check in with you regularly, pitting you to inspect your car and making sure that everything is as it should be. The adrenaline you'll experience will likely change your life - and that's not an exaggeration.

  5. HOME-TIME
At the end of the day, most of our customers like nothing more than to get home and put their feet up, after all, the adrenaline rush can be rather exhausting! With that said, it's always fun to look over any GoPro or Dashcam footage and photos made available of the day. The memories linger forever... but it's nice to know that you can always just do it again next week!
