Team History

In2Racing was formed in the late eighties as a family run team, competing in the ‘British Kart Championships’ and eventually became British champions in 1991, racing alongside young guns; David Coulthard and Dario Franchitti.

In 1992 the team progressed into car racing via ‘Formula First’ , before going on to compete in Formula Vauxhall Junior in the TOCA package in 1993 & 94.

1995 saw the team move-up into the ‘Formula Renault Sport’ championship, developing and constructing their own Chassis (STRYX), whilst still continuing to run up-and-coming young kart racers in the Formula Vauxhall Junior championship.

Between 1997 and 2001 the ‘BARC Formula Renault’ championship was the focus. Running the ex ToCA / EUROCUP cars in the club level feeder series, IN2RACING became BARC champions in 1998.

Alongside the Formula Renault campaign, the ‘Renault Spider’ and ‘Caterham Roadsport’ championships were contested in 1998 and 99.

2002 saw a departure from single-seater racing and a move into the sportscar arena as the team entered the ‘Radical Biduro’ & ‘Enduro’ championships. This was the start of an ambitious programme, running the one-make sportscars in both European and UK championships. Ex-European kart champion and Formula Palmer Audi racer, Mike Richards, finished 3rd in the ‘Enduro’ championship.

In 2003 In2Racing mounted a four-car attack on the championship with Adam Derbyshire claiming the most wins in the series in his Radical ‘Prosport’. 2003 also saw the team enter the New 1500cc ‘SR3’ championship, taking overall victory in the SR3 championship and a top three in the European championship.

Porsche Carrera Cup GBIn2Racing finished 2004 as runners-up in the ‘SR3 Enduro’ championship with Danish driver Juan Barazi. June 2004 also saw an assault on the Classic Le Mans series helping driver Juan Barazi to the ‘Classic Le Mans Endurance Series’ title in his Porsche 917. The success abroad took the team into the ‘Le Mans Endurance Series’ with a new Porsche 996 GT3 RSR driven by Dutchman Michael Vergers and Juan Barazi.

2005 saw the team contesting the Sebring 12 Hour ‘ALMS’ event, finishing fourth on their debut, before an outing in the ‘LMES’ at the legendary Spa circuit. The team also finished runners-up in the 2005 ‘Radical Biduro’ championship with ex BRDC Formula Ford racer Joe Tuckey, and received the pole position award, for most poles in the series.

2006 saw In2Racing preparing a Radical RS4 and three SR3s as well as running the Porsche Carrera Cup GB campaign of Mike Richards and Paul Hogarth.

2007 saw In2Racing become Britcar GT Winners with the first UK Endurance race win for the Porsche 997 GT3. The team were also Porsche Open winners with Paul Hogarth And Mike Donovan in 911 997 GT3 Cup cars.

In 2008 In2Racing took the Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 Car to Britcar, winning again, while the Porsche GT3 Cup won in GT Cup. The team also took Belgian GT Class honours.

2009 brought Dutch Super Car wins with the Porsche 997 GT3 and wins in the Lamborghini Gallardo and Porsche GT3 Class of GT Cup, while taking the runner-up spot in the Porsche Carrera Pro Am 2 Championship.

2010 saw entries in the Dutch Super Car and Britcar running a pair of Ginetta GT4 G50’s. GT Cup winners with Porsche 997 GT3 Cup. Tour Britannia Historic Rally Runners up with Porsche 911.

Already in 2011, In2Racing have been winners in Dutch Super Car and runners up in the GT Trophy and Monoposto UK.
